Now celebrating its fourth decade, HCS has expanded to serve all of Jerusalem and beyond with its trademark goal of care with compassion.
The Health and Community Service Center Jerusalem was established by Rabbi Bernard Moses Casper, a former Chief Rabbi of South Africa.
HCS provides subsidized dental care to large families, new immigrants and the elderly. In addition HCS offers free dental care to individuals in donor sponsored programs – such programs include Ethiopian teenagers and youth at risk, Arab children from East Jerusalem, the elderly as well others who are not included in the government basket of dental health care services.
HCS operates two centers with a total of eight dental chairs. A team of highly skilled and experienced dentists. hygienists, technicians and dental assistants treat thousands of patients each month. Of these, nearly one-third receive significant subsidies.
